Only in the first half of 2017, MIAT AMO (Airplane Maintenance Office) rendered line and heavy maintenance to 11 aircrafts of В737NG aircrafts from Korean “EastarJet”, “TWay”, “Jeju Air” airlines and 2 aircrafts from Russian “UT Air” and “Alrosa” .

During the visit to the MIAT AMO, Mr.D.Ganbat, Minister of Road and Transport development of Mongolia, was briefed on the operation of AMO and expressed his policy support in the further activities. He assured that the Ministry of Road and Transport development of Mongolia will continue supporting the innovation and assembling of ТВС-2МС (former AN2) in cooperation the Russian Federation authorities for the purpose of agriculture, firefighting, natural disaster and medical emergency situation.

Under “The policy of supporting General aviation in Mongolia” the Ministry of road and transport development of Mongolia started working on assembling renovated model of Russian made AN2 replacing parts of old aircrafts with new engines and equipment.

Currently, together with Russian air engineers and experts, 2 aircrafts have already been renovated and assembled in Mongolia. It reduces the assembly cost of ТВС-2МС for the general aviation and increases the skills and expertise of Mongolian aviation engineers exchanging the experience with international technical staffs.
