Mr. Bat-Erdene Jalavsuren, Vice Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, participated in the UNESCAP Ministerial Conference on Transport on December 16-17, 2021 and he gave a speech during the Ministerial Session on the Policy statements on scaling up sustainable transport initiatives in Asia and the Pacific to strengthen regional cooperation.

The Conference focused on the development of regional and international transport and logistics and has adopted the following documents:

1) the strategies for scaling up sustainable transport initiatives in Asia and the Pacific to strengthen regional cooperation; 

2) the implementation of the Regional Action Programme for Sustainable Transport Connectivity in Asia and the Pacific, phase I (2017-2021); 

3) the Ministerial Declaration on Sustainable Transport Development in Asia and the Pacific, including a new regional action programme (2022-2026) aligned with the three pillars of sustainability and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
